Hard call on my favourite piece of news today. I’ve been following the the situation in Colombia for a while and the fact that both of the major sides are inviting in the UN to help police any ceasefire is a great sign. With the recent announcement of a new Ebola case in Sierra Leone the Vaccine Alliance investing in the Ebola Vaccine is great news for helping prevent and fight future outbreaks. However, after years of being seen as a symbol of evil and corporate greed Microsoft is pledging $1bn in cloud computing resources to groups working to the public good including Non-Profits and University Research Teams. Here’s hoping to see some of the amazing things coming out of this work and research soon.
