#R2BC Tuesday’s #GoodNews
Lots of important news running around today. As a rugby and american football fan I have been amazed by the success of the NFL’s International Series and the current spectacle of the Rugby World Cup. Seeing Rugby stretching out the hand of friendship to the US seeing two exciting teams playing a Premiership Match in New York is great to see.
On the more important side of things we see some potentially great moments in civil rights:
- ‘Tampon Tax’ Issue to be raised with European Commission
- UK University Applications to be Anonymized to fight Discrimination
- EU set to vote on Net Neutrality Rules
Understandably, being an active blogger the debate on Net Neutrality is an important one and close to my heart, but of the above I have to say the one making me smile the most is the news that by 2017 UK university applications will be anonymized to help fight discrimination. Here’s hoping for a future of greater social mobility.
