#R2BC Monday’s #GoodNews – Sporting Glory
Following on from last week’s sporting comments, the British Summer of Sport has continued to go from strength to strength.
I’ll admit that my beloved Phoenix losing 14-7 to the East Kilbride Pirates has dented things for me, but the play-offs are still to come and the match was a massive success for the team at Double Coverage and their first live streaming of a game. Now while most news might have been focusing on the Charity Shield results England have fought through to a Semi-Final decider in the Rugby World Cup seeing reigning champions New Zealand put out of the tournament, Rory McIlroy is back on form grabbing his 4th Major, England’s destruction of India in the 4th test, and GB coming home from the IPC European Championship with an amazing 30 Golf Medal Haul.
Now while all that makes me feel that the British Summer of Sport is definitely something to smile about, the moment that genuinely touched me was Ellie Simmonds 3rd Gold being headlined not in the Disability Sports but as a simple Swimming Headline. 🙂
